Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Surface Preparation: Cleaning and preparing walls and ceilings by leveling uneven areas and creating a surface ready for plastering.
• Material Preparation: Mixing plaster or stucco to the correct consistency by hand or with an electric mixer.
• Application: Applying wet or dry finishes using tools like trowels, floats, and spraying equipment.
• Finishing: Smoothing surfaces to achieve a flat, even finish, and creating decorative designs or ornamental features like cornices.
• Plasterboard Installation: In some roles, a plasterer may also cut, fit, and secure drywall sheets and apply joint compound to fill seams and holes.
• Maintenance: Maintaining tools and equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety guidelines.
