Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Work at distillation process plant to recycle spent waste material into product.
• Ensure plant operates within safe parameters.
• Manage the safe transfer of flammable materials.
• Coordinate with the Laboratory for waste/product sampling.
• Follow standard operating procedures closely.
• Ensure sufficient storage capacity for products.
• Monitor performance and efficiency of distillation process.
• Start up/shut down operations according to SOP.
• Record process data and handle deviations.
• Identify and rectify equipment malfunctions.
• Conduct routine safety inspections for leaks and hazards.
• Participate in training programs to enhance safety knowledge.
• Cover safety responsibilities for the department.

Chemical Engineering Technician (Solvent Recovery) x6

• Location: Tuas
• Company Transport / Transport Allowance $120 if candidate travel to work by themselves
• Working hours: Monday to Friday (8am – 5pm); Saturday (8am – 12pm) / Shift Work (Day: 8am – 8pm, Night: 8pm – 8am)
• Basic salary: $1,900 – $2,700 (Entitled to overtime / shift work allowances) + Sign-on bonus (T&C apply)

Responsibilities

• To work at distillation process plant to make sure distil spent waste material into product.
• To ensure distillation process plant operates in safe operation parameters.
• To ensure the safety of the transferring of the flammable material.
• To ensure close co-ordination with the Laboratory for waste/product sampling.
• To ensure the following up of the SOP.
• To co-ordinate closely with the Laboratory & resale team for the re-sell items.
• To ensure there is sufficient storage capacity, and the product safely stored and treated.
• To ensure the performance and efficiency of distillation process plant in terms of the recovery yield and utilities consumption.
• Startup/shut down operation of distillation process plant according to SOP.
• Record process data and report any deviations.
• Identify and rectify process upset and equipment malfunction timely.
• Work with engineering to resolve equipment issues and implement preventive measures.
• Conduct routine inspections for leaks, spills, and safety hazards. Ensure safe handling of materials that are flammable.
• To participate training program to enhance chemical and safety knowledge.
• To cover the 5S and safety job for the department.
