Job summary

A leading transportation company in Singapore is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage payroll processing and related reports. The candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in payroll within a large organization and possess a relevant Diploma or Degree. Key responsibilities include resolving payroll issues, assisting in audits, and improving payroll processes. Strong Excel skills and attention to detail are essential for accuracy in operations.

Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess a Diploma/Degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 3 years of payroll experience for a large organisation.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications with strong Excel skills will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the accurate and timely processing of the payroll cycles.
  • Prepare and maintain payroll related reports, including governmental and regulatory filings.
  • Work closely with Finance on payroll closing, GL reporting and perform payroll reconciliations.
  • Manage and resolve payroll issues on a timely basis.
  • Assist in payroll audits and compliance checks as required.
  • Introduce process improvements and enhancements to enable effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability of payroll operations.

  • Ensure the accurate and timely processing of the payroll cycles

  • Prepare and maintain payroll related reports, including governmental and regulatory filings

  • Work closely with Finance on payroll closing, GL reporting and perform payroll reconciliations.

  • Manage and resolve payroll issues on a timely basis

  • Prepare and submit claims and government Paid Leave Schemes etc

  • Assist in payroll audits and compliance checks as required

  • Answering queries relating to Payrolls matters

  • Introduce process improvements and enhancement to enable effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability of payroll operations.

  • Other ad-hoc duties as assigned

  • Supervise and ensure workplace safety and health risks are identified, assessed and controlled, and provide employees with information on compliance to workplace safety and health policies.

Job Requirement
  • Candidate must possess a Diploma/Degree in a relevant field

  • At least 3 years of payroll experience for a large organisation

  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications with strong Excel skills will be advantageous

  • Meticulous to numeracy details with high degree of accuracy
