Payroll and Benefits Specialist

We're hiring! We are looking for a Payroll and Benefits Specialist to join our team in Singapore. This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from the office.

What the day will look like
Payroll and Benefits Administration
  • Manage the full cycle of monthly payroll processing in an accurate and timely manner, including validation of pay components, overtime, allowances, bonuses, and other remuneration.
  • Ensure payroll compliance with company policies and local statutory requirements.
  • Administer employee benefits, including but not limited to employee insurance, leave management, and other entitlements.
  • Support the administration and processing of Employee Share Option Plans (ESOPs) and other benefits-in-kind.
  • Liaise with external payroll vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Statutory Filing and Taxation
  • Handle all statutory filings, including CPF, IRAS (AIS, IR8A, IR21), SDL, SHG, and other required submissions.
  • Coordinate income tax reporting and filing for both local and foreign employees, including tax clearance and liaison with the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS).
  • Stay up to date with changes in local employment and tax legislation to ensure continuous compliance.
  • Provide support during audits and internal compliance reviews.
People Operations Support
  • Support HR operational activities such as onboarding, offboarding, contract changes, and employee lifecycle events.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and data integrity in the HRIS.
  • Generate regular and ad-hoc HR reports and analytics for local and regional leadership teams.
  • Contribute to policy documentation and ongoing development of HR operational procedures.
Projects and Process Improvement
  • Proactively identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in payroll and People operations.
  • Support regional payroll projects and cross-border initiatives as required.
  • Assist in standardization and documentation of processes across the region.
Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee and manager queries related to payroll, tax, and benefits.
  • Partner with local and cross-border People teams, Finance, Compliance, and Global Mobility and Total Reward teams to ensure alignment and smooth execution of HR processes.
  • Foster strong relationships with third‑party vendors to ensure service excellence.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in payroll processing, HR operations, and statutory compliance in Singapore, preferably within a multinational corporation.
  • Deep knowledge of Singapore labor laws, CPF, MOM, IRAS requirements, and income tax procedures for local and foreign employees.
  • Experience with payroll systems and HRIS platforms such such as Workday, ADP, or Prosoft Unit4.
  • Familiarity with expatriate payroll, tax equalization, and global mobility is advantageous.

  • Strong written and spoken English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail, strong numerical skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
