The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Economics and a minimum of 10 years of experience in business controls or compliance within financial institutions. Job description

Make an impact to the rapidly evolving payments landscape as a Vice President in the Global Regulatory Developments and Engagement function.

As a Vice President in the Global Regulatory Developments and Engagement (GRDE) function, you will be part of the broader payments controls organization. You will partner with business and control managers to proactively manage regulatory changes and trace end‑to‑end connections between laws, rules, and regulations to demonstrate compliance with our policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities
  • Work with global Control Managers, Legal, Compliance and business managers to ensure legal obligations and regulations are assessed and dispositioned accurately, efficiently, and timely.
  • Review and assess new or amended regulations for business impact and track the resolution of gaps.
  • Perform impact assessment and mapping of legal obligations to business and operational procedures or other supporting documentation.
  • Partner with colleagues to ensure global consistency and quality of output from the team, including ability to conduct quality reviews of the team's deliverables.
  • Work effectively with relevant stakeholders to identify and implement process efficiencies.
  • Demonstrate excellent leadership, stakeholder management and communications skills to achieve results and provide direction.
Required qualifications, capabilities & skills
  • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Economics.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial institutions in business controls, operational risk, compliance, legal, audit or similar function.
  • Knowledge of the APAC financial services regulatory landscape including key regulators and regulations.
  • Comfortable with and adept at reading and interpreting legal and regulatory texts as a layperson (Formal legal qualifications beneficial but not required).
  • Relevant experience/knowledge of financial products and services for the Payments business and for financial regulations.
  • Excellent business judgement and organizational management skills, particularly the ability to work under pressure, handle high volume of throughput without compromising quality and proactively identify issues early.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, comfortable with working and partnering with people at all levels, across all functional areas and internationally. Able to motivate and gain consensus among peers and stakeholders to drive critical initiatives to completion.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities & skills
  • Experience of covering banking and/or payments related business is preferred.
