Job summary

A legal service firm in Singapore is seeking candidates to handle patent applications and provide related advice. The role requires good communication skills in English, a diploma or relevant experience, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Job Scope
  • Prosecuting and maintaining patent applications outside of Singapore.
  • Preparing official documents for submission to foreign patent offices and clients.
  • Calculating and monitoring deadlines.
  • Providing simple patent‑related advice including cost estimates to clients.
  • Ad‑hoc tasks.
Requirements
  • Good academic credentials (minimum diploma and above) and good communication skills in English (both written and spoken) are a must. Candidates who may not have the specified educational qualifications but who possess relevant experience are welcome.
  • Proficient in computer skills and Microsoft Office.
  • Good word‑processing and typing skills.
  • Hardworking and self‑motivated.
  • A good team player who can work independently and under pressure.
  • Good time management and able to prioritize work well.
  • Able to put in extra time if needed for any urgent work.
  • Able to multi‑task and deal with high volumes of work whilst working in a fast‑paced environment when necessary.
  • Have an eye for details.
  • Fresh entrants into the industry and candidates without experience are welcome to apply. Such candidates should be willing to learn, be meticulous with details and record/data entry, and able to work with deadlines.
  • A qualification in Intellectual Property Law will be advantageous but not required.
