A local educational organization in Singapore is seeking a dedicated mentor to support at-risk students. The role involves guiding students through engagement sessions, leading physical activities, and conducting home visits to better understand their needs. Ideal candidates should have experience working with youth, strong communication skills, and a passion for inspiring students. This position provides a unique opportunity to make a difference in students' lives through personalized support and mentorship.
Serve as a dedicated befriender and mentor to Higher Needs Students (HNS).
Conduct informal "paving the way" sessions to engage and inspire at-risk students. These sessions will focus on building grit and a growth mindset through authentic dialogue, shared narratives, and proactive guidance, helping students reframe their school experience in a more positive and purposeful way.
Lead and facilitate simple, age-appropriate physical exercises or light physical activities with students to promote mental and physical well-being.
Serve as a Teacher Chaperone for after‑school learning journeys. Administrative duties such as bus bookings, procurement, etc. are not required.
Monitors and ensures completion of homework.
Conduct home visits as required, in coordination with the school’s Student Welfare Officer (SWO), to engage parents/guardians and better understand the student’s home environment and support needs.
