Job description

We are seeking for the position to start in as soon as possible or February 2026.

To support the Vice Principal (Wellbeing and Achievement) and Pastoral Leadership Team by providing efficient and effective administrative support, undertaking data entry/extraction and analysis using the school system, and other general administrative duties. Lead in the effective recording, reporting and analysis of attendance data. Develop a high public profile interacting professionally with all stakeholders – staff, students and parents/guardians.

General responsibilities and duties
  • Role model a professional ‘public face’ of pastoral care at SJI International with all stakeholders.
  • Support for Heads of Grade with comprehensive administration support for all students within their allocated grades.
  • Working with students to maintain high expectations regarding punctuality, attendance, uniform, time management etc. and develop their self-management Approaches To Learning (ATL) skills.
  • Liaise directly with staff, students and parents/guardians regarding welfare and progress concerns.
  • General office duties e.g. maintenance of filing system, printing, photocopying, and collating reports.
  • Support for the Heads of Grade in the organisation of events.
Specific responsibilities will include:
Recording, Reporting and Tracking Data
  • Provide effective recording and reporting of attendance data associated with registration and lesson monitoring.
  • Accurately track and monitor attendance concerns and persistent lateness, and report there to the Head of Grade/Learning Coordinator.
  • Accurately track and monitor uniform issues and persistent issues with ID cards, and report these to the Head of Grade/Learning Coordinator.
  • Support the Head of Grade with parent communication on issues of attendance, lateness, ID cards, uniform, early leaving form etc.
Supporting the Development of ATLs
  • Support the Head of Grade with the investigation of behavioural and safeguarding incidents by taking statements, locating students, communicating with parents;
  • Ensure the accurate recording and reporting of behavioural and safeguarding concerns.
  • Supervise students who are removed from class and ensure appropriate work is provided for them.
  • Organise, communicate with all stakeholders and then supervise reflection times for students where needed.
Communication, Meetings and Events
  • Effectively organise grade-level meetings, parent meetings, celebration events and other events as needed by the Head of Grade.
  • Collaborate with the logistics team, security team and other necessary stakeholders to organise and ensure the smooth running of events.
Other
  • Support the HoG and LC with all administrative duties required for the smooth running of transition between grade levels.
