Job Responsibilities

Plan, implement and manage an expanding Emergency Medical Service (EMS) as follows:

Operations
  • Monitor EMS operations to ensure compliance with KPIs.
  • Maintain ambulance crew's professional competence.
  • Perform any other assigned tasks.
Human Resource Planning
  • Develop training programs and career paths for ambulance crews.
  • Recruit and place staff as needed.
  • Establish organizational structures.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities.
  • Create work schedules.
  • Supervise and evaluate staff performance.
Finance
  • Manage payroll, including accrued employee benefits.
Logistics
  • Coordinate medical supplies stocking and movement.
  • Ensure quality and maintenance of medical equipment and ambulances.
Communication
  • Conduct regular meetings with crew members.
  • Provide counselling to staff facing work‑related issues.
  • Act as the primary contact for staff feedback.
  • Serve as liaison officer with SCDF.
Training
  • Manage and conduct training to maintain professional competence.
  • Coordinate training schedules and prepare staff for tests and courses.
Clinical Audits
  • Lead a team of auditors in monthly clinical audits as required by SCDF and specified categories of patients.
  • Manage and achieve all audit KPIs.
Job Requirement
  • Minimum 5 years’ supervisory experience in the EMS prehospital industry.
  • Minimum diploma qualification.
  • Previous experience in healthcare management preferred.
  • Possess strong leadership skills in working with clinical and non‑clinical staff.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and teams.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in problem‑solving, analytical thinking, decision‑making, and conceptualization.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and influencing skills to work with stakeholders of different levels.
  • Self‑motivated with initiative and ability to work independently.
