Job summary

  • Monitor and support ongoing projects with site visits and strong information flows.
  • Lead and develop the operations team to drive performance.
  • Develop specialist salvage expertise for effective execution methods.
  • Support tendering processes with operational input.
  • Ensure effective staffing allocation for projects.
  • Maintain a strong operational response network for global mobilization.
  • Encourage information flow between teams to support project monitoring.

Job description
Key Tasks / Responsibilities
  • Ensure that project execution strategies comply with Boskalis Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHE-Q) standards, and take corrective action where necessary. Actively foster a culture of safety and operational excellence
  • Monitor and support ongoing projects through frequent site visits, regular reporting, and strong information flows with relevant team members, taking action to address operational shortcomings.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the operations (support) team to drive high performance, coordination, and professional growth.
  • Develop and contribute specialist salvage expertise to safe and effective execution methods, including advising on equipment, vessels, and operational approaches.
  • Support tendering and acquisition processes providing operational input.
  • Ensure effective staffing and allocation for projects in consultation with the Operations Director Salvage.
  • Build and maintain a strong operational response network to ensure rapid, effective mobilization of resources worldwide.
  • Encourage and maintain strong flow of information to and from the Operations Director Salvage and Salvage Masters, supporting knowledge sharing, project monitoring, and optimization.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE
Education/certificates
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent Higher Professional Education in a technical, maritime or nautical
Experience
  • Extensive experience in the Oil & Gas/Maritime Salvage industry
  • Proven experience in project, financial, contractual, and risk management within complex operational environments
  • Strong people management skills with demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and work effectively across different cultures
Other requirements
  • Willingness and ability to respond immediately to salvage requests, including frequent international travel and deployments at short notice
