Job summary

A logistics and freight forwarding company is seeking an individual with strong operational knowledge in Freight Forwarding to support day-to-day operations involving Air, Ocean, and Road Freight. The ideal candidate possesses excellent customer service skills, is analytical, and can multitask effectively. Must have the ability to develop strong customer relationships, manage risks, and ensure timely responses to inquiries. Preferred candidates are Singaporeans and Permanent Residents.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations in Ocean, Air, and Road Freight.
• Handle end-to-end import/export shipments & documentation.
• Ensure customer inquiries are responded to promptly.
• Coordinate with internal departments to service customers.
• Handle import and export shipments and documentation end-to-end.
• Build rapport with customers to meet their requirements.
• Troubleshoot and address customer complaints.
• Assist with ministry/official authority interactions as needed.
• Ensure inquiries are answered promptly.
• Obtain pricing and generate complete quotations.
• Follow up on quotations and negotiate to closure.
• Collaborate with Sales/Commercial on customers.
• Monitor billing and ensure timely invoicing.
• Take on ad-hoc duties as required.

Job description

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Strong operational knowledge within Freight Forwarding covering Air, Ocean and Crosstrade.

• This role supports day to day Ocean, Air and Road Freight operations.

• Shipment planning consists of Air, LCL, FCL, Breakbulk etc.

• Haulage arrangements.

• Customs clearance declaration.

• Work closely with internal departments to coordinate customer’s shipments.

• Handling Import and Export shipments & documentation from A to Z.

• Build and maintain good rapport with customers to fulfill their requirements.

• Troubleshooting and attending to customer complaints/disputes.

• Troubleshooting and attending to ministry/official authority.

• Ensure all enquirers are responded to within the shortest possible time frame.

• To obtain pricing and generate complete/competitive quotation base on customer’s requirements.

• Follow up with customer, overseas agents and overseas offices on the quotation/proposal and negotiate to a closure.

• Collaborate with Sales and Commercial on maintenance of customers.

• Monitor billing and ensure timely invoicing.

• Involvement in ad-hoc duties and assignments may be required from time to time.
