Job summary

A leading recruitment agency in Singapore is looking for a proactive Desktop Engineer to join their IT support team. This role involves providing on-site helpdesk support, troubleshooting technical issues, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure optimal IT operations. Candidates should possess a minimum diploma in a relevant field and have 1-2 years of experience in desktop support. A willingness to learn and strong troubleshooting skills are essential. This position offers a 2-year contract with the chance for extension or conversion to permanent.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Diploma in relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in desktop support or IT helpdesk roles.
  • Basic networking knowledge (e.g., IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN troubleshooting).

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site helpdesk support for end-users.
  • Liaise with vendors, contractors, and clients to resolve IT-related issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop systems.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of issues and resolutions.
  • Assist in IT projects such as system upgrades and office relocations.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies and procedures.
  • Conduct client system setup, patching, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Perform Active Directory domain and GPO administration.
  • Conduct end-user training and briefing.
