Job description
Responsibilities
  • Ensure all processes whether import or export or transhipment shipments are carried out in accordance with established procedure and instructions in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure timely preparation of documents for custom clearance, inward or outward permit application, delivery orders, etc for import, export and transhipment consignments in compliance with customer requirements and shipping practices.
  • Booking of space with carriers
  • Liasing with hauliers, transporters, shipping liners
  • Arrange timely pickup / delivery of cargoes to and from customers according to sailing schedules
  • Arrange timely transfer of cargo for transhipment connection
  • Assist customers as and when required, without compromising on procedures
  • Perform billing or invoicing to customers including COD transactions
  • Prepare accruals for vendor posting and close file
  • Ensure accurate expected gross profit reporting
  • Ensure meeting KPIs performance
Qualifications
  • Good working knowledge of operations (Sea Freight) and handling of DGR cargo
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience, preferably with certification in Freight & Logistics
  • Possess the ability to work independently and good team player with initiativeness
  • Preferably with minimum GCE 'O' Level passes
  • Tradenet qualification - a must requirement
  • Familiar with Trade Regulatory, Trade Net and handling requirements of DG cargo as per classified by IMO
  • Must have computer knowledge - Microsoft Office, Outlook, Cargowise system
  • Have positive desire to achieve Customer Excellence Service
