A leading logistics company in Singapore is seeking a senior sales professional to drive business growth in Ocean Freight forwarding. The role involves leading a sales team across Southeast Asia, achieving sales targets, and managing long-term contracts. Candidates should have over 10 years of experience in logistics, particularly in Ocean Freight forwarding, with proven sales abilities. This position offers a challenging and rewarding environment for experienced professionals.
Identify and develop new business opportunities to drive revenue growth, with a primary focus on Ocean Freight forwarding in Singapore and Malaysia.
Lead, manage, and mentor the Sales team across the SEA region, including Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, and Australia.
Drive both short-term and long-term sales targets, with performance evaluated based on half-yearly revenue and profit generation.
Actively engage potential and existing clients by providing tailored freight forwarding solutions, primarily in ocean freight.
Acquire new customers while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients through customer retention, cross-selling, and upselling initiatives.
Collaborate closely with the Pricing team to stay updated on ocean freight market trends, rates, and capacity in order to secure competitive pricing and space with carriers.
Manage and develop large-scale, long-term contracts and global accounts.
Prepare, report, and present sales performance updates during internal management meetings.
Bachelor’s degree or above in Business Administration, Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
Proficient in speaking, additional language skills are an advantage.
Minimum 10 years of experience in the logistics industry, with a strong focus on Ocean Freight forwarding.
Proven track record in new business development and sales account acquisition.
Experience working in a global or top-tier freight forwarding company is highly preferred.
Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale, long-term contracts and global accounts.
Strong customer network in Southeast Asia and Australia is an advantage.
