Qualifications

  • Familiar with ISO standards, and experienced in feasibility studies and risk management.

Job description

Location: Kaki Bukit
Working Hours: Mon – Fri, 8:00am – 5:30pm
Salary: $5,000 – $5,500


We are seeking a skilled NPI / Product & Process Engineer to join our high-precision manufacturing team. This role will be heavily involved in rubber molding operations , new product introduction , and process improvement initiatives to ensure production efficiency and quality.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee new product launches and pilot runs, ensuring a smooth transition to full-scale manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with R&D, production, quality, and supply chain teams for seamless product development and deployment.
  • Lead process validation, testing, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and “what-if” analysis for new product introductions.
  • Design and refine products for manufacturability, performance, and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain production process documentation, workflows, and SOPs.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and production staff.

Requirements:

  • Degree/Diploma in Engineering or related field, with at least 5 years’ manufacturing engineering experience (including NPI or product/process improvement) and proven expertise in rubber molding operations.
  • Strong knowledge of New Product Development/Introduction (NPD/NPI) , Design for Manufacturability (DFM) , and FMEA (Design & Process).
  • Skilled in process optimisation , Lean Manufacturing , and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Familiar with ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949) and experienced in feasibility studies , cost-benefit analysis, and risk management.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
