Job summary

A leading technology firm in Singapore is seeking a driven NPI Engineer to lead new product introductions in the manufacturing plant. As the key link between design, production, and customers, you will ensure a smooth transition from prototype to mass production. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment and familiarity with SAP and shop floor control systems. Qualifications

Job description

We are looking for a driven NPI Engineer to lead the introduction of new server and rack products into our manufacturing plant. You will be the key link between design, production, and our customers, ensuring products transition smoothly from prototype to mass production with high quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead all New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from prototype stage to full‑scale manufacturing.
• Act as the main liaison between internal teams, customers, suppliers, and headquarters to manage product launch requirements, including packaging design.
• Create, review, and manage Bill of Materials (BOM) and ensure accuracy in SAP and Shop Floor Control (SFC) systems.
• Apply expert knowledge of server and rack assembly to support design for manufacturability and resolve production issues.
• Drive process improvement and cost‑saving initiatives through Kaizen and lean manufacturing activities.
• Provide direct production support during mass runs to ensure quality and output targets are met.
• Participate in ISO audit activities to ensure compliance with quality management standards.

Job Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in server, rack, or electronics assembly is highly preferred.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP and Shop Floor Control systems. Familiarity with BOM management and manufacturing documentation.
• Knowledge of ISO standards, NPI stage‑gate processes, and experience in packaging design will be an added advantage.
