We are seeking an Network Project Coordinator with hands‑on experience as a Network Engineer to support the planning, coordination, and delivery of network and IT infrastructure projects. The role bridges technical execution and project coordination, working closely with engineers, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with technical requirements.
This role is ideal for a network engineer with 2–3 years of experience who is developing a career in project management.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Support end‑to‑end delivery of network and infrastructure projects (LAN/WAN, firewall, data centre, cloud connectivity).
- Assist in project planning, scheduling, resource coordination, and progress tracking.
- Maintain project documentation including project plans, RAID logs, meeting minutes, and status reports.
- Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and service providers to ensure timely execution of project tasks.
- Track project risks, issues, and dependencies and elevate when necessary.
- Support change management, approvals, and handover to operations.
Technical & Network Support
- Provide technical input and validation for network designs, implementation plans, and changes.
- Support network deployment, migration, and upgrade activities.
- Assist with network configuration, testing, and troubleshooting during project phases.
- Review technical deliverables to ensure they meet design and operational standards.
- Act as a technical liaison between project stakeholders and engineering teams.
Stakeholder & Communication
- Participate in project meetings and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
- Work with business users to understand requirements and translate them into technical tasks.
- Coordinate with vendors and system integrators for delivery and implementation activities.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 2–3 years of hands‑on experience as a Network Engineer or Network Support Engineer.
- Basic understanding of project management concepts (scope, schedule, risk, dependencies).
- Experience working on network or infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with networking technologies such as:
- Routing & Switching (TCP/IP, VLAN, OSPF/BGP – basic)
- Firewalls (Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto – exposure level)
- WAN, VPN, and data centre networking concepts
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have
- Exposure to project management frameworks (Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid).
- Experience using project tools such as MS Project, Jira, Confluence, or Smartsheet.
- ITIL Foundation, PRINCE2 Foundation, or CAPM certification.
- Vendor exposure (Cisco, Fortinet, cloud connectivity providers).
- Experience working with cross‑functional or regional teams.
