In this role you will be working to support Meta's Music Business Development activity, including strategic planning, execution of licensing arrangements, and partner management across the full suite of Meta's family of apps.
This role will focus primarily on engaging music industry label partners (as well as Music publishing partners) to help expand the impact of music within the Meta ecosystem across the wider APAC region. Responsibilities
- Support Meta's Music strategy and Business Development activity within APAC, primarily across record label partners, however also in respect of music publishing
- Engage in strategic planning, business modelling, and operational support for Meta's Music activities
- Negotiate and enter into licensing arrangements with Music and Content partners in the APAC region
- Increase the impact of Music across Meta's family of apps, in partnership with Meta's cross-functional Content and Partnerships teams (among others)
Minimum Qualifications
- 8+ years of relevant work experience in business development, commercial negotiations, and partnerships, preferably within the Music, Content, or digital media industries
- Demonstrated experience negotiating and closing multi-year, high value complex deals
- Demonstrated experience of engaging across multiple levels of decision makers from C-Level, through VP and Director / Managerial stakeholders to build consensus influence decision-making processes
- Effective communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with proven track record to adapt to varied audiences and different perspectives (ideally across multi-Territory remits)
- Demonstrable understanding of how content operations, rights management, and technology works, including an interest for Meta products and the digital marketing landscape
- Proven track record leading and executing multiple time-sensitive projects in parallel
- Proven experience in working successfully with cross-functional peers and stakeholders, both internally and externally
- Demonstrable project management and quantitative analytical skills, including effective strategic planning and budget modelling
- Full professional fluency in English is required as the role needs to work with internal and external stakeholders whose usual business language is English
- Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy
