Job summary

An educational organization in Singapore is seeking individuals to conduct guided tours for primary school groups in English. The ideal candidates should hold a diploma in arts or education and have relevant teaching or facilitation experience. Responsibilities include delivering tours, preparing materials, and attending required meetings. The contract is for one year, from April 2026 to March 2027, with a pay rate of $90 per hour.

Job Scope
  • Deliver 60-minute guided, inquiry-based tours for primary school groups (in English).
  • Prepare for each tour (arrive early, check resources provided by us) and follow museum safety & etiquette.
  • Use visual thinking / inquiry approaches to guide student observation and discussion.
  • Attend required briefings, training and evaluation sessions.
  • Collect basic feedback data (student/teacher surveys) when requested and support reporting needs.
Salary

$90/hr

Qualifications

Arts Expertise

Diploma or higher in a relevant art / education / museum / humanities field, AND/OR substantial relevant professional experience.

Teaching or facilitation experience

Teaching art in primary schools, or museum guiding for children, community arts facilitation, or similar roles. (Please specify number of years of experience)

Pedagogical Expertise
  • (i) Diploma Certificate or higher in Education or teaching.
  • (ii) Pedagogical certifications such as NAC-NIE Essentials of Teaching and Learning or SDEA Drama Pedagogy.
  • (iii) Extensive track record in teaching your field of art (Please specify years of teaching experience).
Language & availability

Able to deliver tours in English and available during typical school/gallery hours.

Contract Work

From Apr 2026 – Mar 2027.
