Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mobile / Frontend Engineer (iOS) to join our client’s engineering team.
The successful candidate will design, build, and maintain high-quality iOS applications, collaborating with product, UX, and backend teams to deliver seamless digital experiences in line with UOB’s mobile transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain iOS applications using modern frameworks and development tools.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define, design, and ship new features.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of all iOS applications.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code aligned with best practices.
- Participate in code reviews, sprint ceremonies, and Agile development activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, coding standards, and team collaboration.
- Stay updated with the latest iOS SDKs, frameworks, and security practices.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 4 years of experience in mobile or frontend development.
- Strong proficiency in Swift, Objective-C, or React Native (Kotlin / Java experience an advantage).
- Working knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum / XP) across analysis, development, and testing.
- Solid understanding of JavaScript, modular architectures, and microservices integration.
- Experience implementing Apple Human Interface Guidelines and collaborating with UX teams.
- Familiarity with unit testing and UI testing frameworks (e.g., XCTest).
- Hands-on with Xcode, WebStorm, Jenkins, Artifactory, Sonar, and Git.
- Experience using CocoaPods or Swift Package Manager for dependency management.
- Understanding of secure coding practices and encryption algorithms.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and documentation skills.
- Exposure to Selenium is a plus (not mandatory).
Preferred Certifications / Practices
- Exposure to Extreme Programming (XP) or continuous integration environments.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
