Job summary

A microbiology-focused company in Singapore is seeking a qualified individual to perform microbiological testing and environmental monitoring. The ideal candidate will have a degree or diploma in relevant disciplines and experience in food microbiology, cGMP, and HACCP. Responsibilities include coordinating lab activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and participating in investigations as required. This position involves a 12-hour shift schedule.

Qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years of experience for degree holders, more than 5 years for diploma holders.
  • Required to work under 12 hours shift.

Responsibilities

  • Perform testing activities related to environmental monitoring.
  • Coordinate between operations and microbiological lab for testing results.
  • Ensure operations in the lab adhere to GMP/GLP standards.

Skills

Knowledge of food microbiology
Understanding of microbiological techniques
Experience with cGMP and HACCP

Job description
Job Scope
  • Perform all testing activities and result reviewing associated with environmental monitoring program and microbiological testing for Pilot Plant and Process Research Laboratory.
  • Coordinate between operations and microbiological laboratory to ensure timely turnover of testing results.
  • Perform swabbing verification on a regular basis.
  • Alert in the event of any over action limit (OAL) or out-of-specifications (OOS) timely.
  • Participate in investigations for any adverse trend in environmental monitoring program, intermediates or finished product microbiological testing failures.
  • To assess the hygiene health and escalate if there is any adverse trend.
  • Ensure sufficient consumables to support environmental monitoring program.
  • Ensure all operations in the laboratory are carried out in a safe and productive manner, adhering to GMP/GLP and ISO/IEC 17025 standards at all times
Requirements
  • Degree in Microbiology or related discipline with 1 to 3 years’ experience.
  • Or Diploma in Microbiology / Biotechnology/Food Technology or related discipline with more than 5 years experiences
  • Knowledge of food microbiology, cGMP and HACCP.
  • Good understanding of the microbiological techniques and methods used.
  • Required to work under 12 hours shift.
