A leading semiconductor solutions company in Singapore is looking for a Metrology Application Engineer to fulfill customers' metrology needs in the Asia-Pacific region. You will demonstrate advanced 3D metrology systems and help maintain semiconductor manufacturing processes. Ideal candidates should have a relevant degree and experience with metrology tools and customer engagement. The role offers a competitive salary and a friendly, inclusive work environment with strong growth opportunities.
Meet the complex metrology needs of the semiconductor industry in this customer-facing role at a rapidly growing scale-up. Chips are shrinking, becoming increasingly powerful and complex. As a result, currently used metrology systems in the semiconductor industry no longer meet advanced process control requirements.
Nearfield Instruments offers the solution in terms of speed, precision, and the capability to measure the most advanced 3D nanostructures. As a Metrology Application Engineer based in Singapore, you will play a key role in identifying and fulfilling customers’ metrology needs across the Asia-Pacific region. Would you like to collaborate with the world’s leading chipmakers and see the results of your work in high-volume manufacturing environments? We’re growing and hiring.
In this role, you will help customers get the most out of our products and represent the voice of the customer toward central teams. You will assist leading semiconductor manufacturers in maintaining control of their manufacturing processes by demonstrating the capabilities of our cutting-edge atomic force microscopy (AFM) systems on customer wafers.
Your input will also contribute to R&D to meet the future needs of our customers. Your responsibilities include:
As a rapidly growing scale-up, we operate with minimal hierarchy and strong cross-functional collaboration. We work together globally to realize Nearfield Instruments’ growth strategy.
Our international team represents many cultures and backgrounds, and diversity and inclusion are integral to how we work. We encourage authenticity and support personal and professional growth in an open, friendly, and collaborative environment.
At Nearfield Instruments, you’ll work alongside some of the most creative minds in science and technology from around the world. You’ll have the opportunity to make a visible impact on the future of semiconductor manufacturing.
We offer:
You thrive in a customer-facing engineering role within a deep-tech scale-up, where interdisciplinary collaboration is essential. You communicate effectively with customers and internal teams to deliver optimal metrology solutions. You are flexible to occasionally work outside standard office hours, as demo tools and development systems are shared globally—this flexibility is reciprocated to support work-life balance.
You also have:
Nearfield Instruments develops, integrates, markets, and services advanced 3D metrology solutions addressing process control challenges in the nano and semiconductor industries. Our high-throughput QUADRA system, featuring four mini atomic force microscopes, enables leading chipmakers to ensure quality and increase production yield for increasingly complex IC devices.
Founded in 2016, Nearfield Instruments has grown into a global scale-up with more than 200 employees worldwide, delivering daringly innovative, atom-scale metrology solutions for next-generation semiconductor technologies.
