Job summary

Job description

We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician (Senior) to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of a large-scale industrial facility. This role is hands‑on and maintenance‑focused, covering rotating and static equipment, piping systems, and valves. Candidates with experience in oil & gas, LNG, petrochemical, or power generation environments will be highly regarded.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities in accordance with approved procedures and supervisor direction.
  • Close completed maintenance work orders accurately in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair rotating and static equipment, with strong emphasis on plant piping systems, pressure‑containing components, and structural support systems.
  • Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions and breakdowns to minimize downtime and restore production safely.
  • Identify and prepare required tools, materials, spare parts, and work methods to ensure safe execution of maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct machinery condition monitoring and field data collection in coordination with production teams and engineers.
  • Maintain, inspect, lubricate, strip, repair, and rebuild plant and control valves to ensure full operational integrity.
  • Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities with contractors and equipment vendors, ensuring compliance with work permits and PPE requirements.
  • Liaise with operations teams during mechanical system testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Verify material specifications for installed mechanical components such as gaskets, bolts, and piping fittings.
  • Perform valve line‑ups and execute Lock‑Out / Tag‑Out (LOTO) procedures for maintenance and operational readiness.
  • Participate as a member of the Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) and perform assigned emergency roles.
  • Take on additional duties or responsibilities as assigned by supervisors.
REQUIREMENTS
  • NITEC / Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronic, or Electromechanical Engineering or any relevant engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or power generation facilities.
  • Hands‑on experience with pumps, compressors, engines, valves, and plant piping systems.
  • Familiar with Permit‑to‑Work and LOTO systems, local codes, regulations and standards requirement.
  • Proficient in CMMS (e.g., SAP) and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong team player with good communication skills.
  • Self‑motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
