Responsibilities
- Exhibit strong site problem‑solving skills and effective site coordination with customers.
- Demonstrate competency in mechanical engineering design, building services knowledge, and understanding of relevant codes of practice.
- Ensure quality of materials and installation works by suppliers and subcontractors in accordance with ISO quality plans.
- Coordinate, monitor, and control suppliers’ materials, equipment, and subcontractors’ installation quality.
- Prepare shop drawings and coordinate drawings with relevant parties.
- Prepare work schedules and attend client meetings and internal coordination meetings.
- Assist the manager in day‑to‑day activities under the master planning schedule, including quality and safety matters.
- Coordinate closely with the main contractor to prevent rework and construction conflicts.
- Control site materials and equipment usage to reduce wastage.
- Liaise closely with suppliers and subcontractors to minimize delivery delays affecting project progress.
- Check and identify non‑conformance products or installation works to avoid defects.
- Explore new technologies and installation methods to improve productivity levels.
- Follow up closely on site progress and communicate clearly with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3–8 years’ relevant experience in an M&E contracting environment.
- Knowledge of ISO 9000, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
- ISO Internal Quality Auditor certification is an advantage.
