Job summary

A recruitment agency in Singapore is seeking an experienced technician specializing in the maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills and a diploma in Electrical Engineering is preferred. This is a full-time position with six working days a week.

Job description

Industry : Construction & Industrial Equipment Rental (Vertical Access Solutions Work Platforms)

Location : Singapore

Working hours : 6 working days (8am - 5pm)

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance & Repair: Install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment and mechanical machinery across the customer fleet
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve operational equipment issues and electrical faults
• System Upgrades: Plan, design, and install electrical systems, including AC/DC motor controls and PLC programming.
• Technical Analysis: Read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and circuit diagrams.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure all equipment operates safely in accordance with Singapore Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed logs and reports of all maintenance and repair work.
• General Workshop Duties: Assist with yard operations, loading/unloading trucks, and maintaining stock inventory.

Requirements

• Language Proficiency: Fluent in English (spoken and written).
• Trade Experience: Proven experience in both electrical and mechanical trades.
• Troubleshooting Skills: Expertise in diagnosing mechanical failures and electrical circuit issues.
• Education: Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field is an advantage.
• Computer Literacy: Basic computer skills for data entry and maintenance reporting.
• Technical Skills: Experience with VFC inspections, motor repairs, welding, and machinery or winch assembly.
• Valid Class 3 Driving Licence is an advantage.
• Forklift licence preferred.
