Job summary

A construction company in Singapore is seeking an experienced M&E Coordinator to oversee and manage mechanical and electrical works on-site. The ideal candidate should have a diploma or degree in engineering, along with 3–5 years of relevant experience in M&E coordination within construction projects. Responsibilities include coordinating M&E installations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing materials and inspections effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of AutoCAD or Revit MEP is preferred.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and supervise M&E works including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, and other building services.
• Review M&E drawings, specifications, and schedules to ensure alignment with architectural and structural plans.
• Liaise with consultants, M&E subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve site and design issues.
• Monitor progress of M&E works on-site and report to Project Manager regularly.
• Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Attend coordination meetings and assist in the integration of M&E systems with overall project planning.
• Track and manage materials, tools, and manpower requirements for M&E installations.
• Ensure proper documentation and assist with testing and commissioning processes.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services Engineering, or related field.
• At least 3–5 years of experience in M&E coordination in construction or engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of M&E systems, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and M&E schematics.
• Good communication and coordination skills to liaise effectively with multiple stakeholders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD or Revit MEP knowledge is a plus.
