Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop high-performance commercial membrane products.
• Fabricate hollow fiber membranes using NIPs and TIPs.
• Operate various characterization tools for surface analysis.
• Support sample tests, commissioning, and inspections.

Job Description & Requirements

A Material Scientist in nano‑material membrane fabrication, characterisation and application. Due to current expansion, we are looking for an expert for Material Research Development. The main focus is to develop the current high‑performance membrane using nano materials into products that fit our clients’ requirements in healthcare, battery and water treatment applications.

Responsibilities

• Work with internal teams to develop high‑performance commercial membrane product for healthcare, battery and water treatment applications.
• Fabricate PVDF, PMP, and PES hollow fiber membrane using NIPs and TIPs.
• Operate 3D printer, SEM, FE‑SEM, TEM, XPS, AFM and dynamic contact angle for nano/quantum surface modification and characterisation.
• Operate dynamic two‑phase potting system.
• Join collaborator meetings and design reviews when needed.
• Deliver detailed process engineering/commercial documents and reports.
• Support sample test, commissioning, site work, inspections, and O&M activities.
• Stay updated on nano and quantum technologies and industry standards.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemistry and Chemical, Material, Environmental Engineering.
• At least 5 years of hand‑on experience in the field of PVDF, PMP, and PES hollow fiber membrane (NIPs or TIPs) and hydrophilic/hydrophobic membrane surface modification.
• Experience in commissioning and skid‑based system design.
• AI and molecular dynamic simulation knowledge or background is a plus.
• Familiar with industry nano material membrane standards.
• Good spoken and written English and Chinese.
• Approved track record such as publications, patent etc.
• Willing to travel and work in multicultural teams.
