The Marketing and Business Development Manager is responsible for driving admissions growth, strengthening brand visibility, and developing strategic partnerships for the preschool. This role combines marketing strategy, lead generation, admissions support, and business development initiatives to ensure consistent enrolment and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing & Brand Management

  • Develop and execute annual marketing plans aligned with enrolment targets

  • Manage digital marketing activities including social media, website content, email campaigns, and online listings

  • Oversee offline marketing initiatives such as flyers, banners, events, and local promotions

  • Ensure consistent brand messaging across all communication channels

  • Monitor and analyse marketing performance and ROI

Admissions & Lead Management

  • Generate and manage admission leads through digital and offline channels

  • Coordinate with the admissions team to ensure timely follow-ups and conversions

  • Track inquiry-to-enrolment funnel and prepare regular performance reports

  • Organize and promote open houses, school tours, and parent engagement events

Business Development & Partnerships

  • Identify and develop partnerships with the hosting church, methodist family and other Christian preschools

  • Build relationships with parents, referral networks, and community influencers

  • Explore new revenue streams such as field trips, enrichment programs, and holiday camps

  • Support and undertake ad-hoc projects and initiatives beyond Methodist Preschool Services, where required, in alignment with organisational objectives

  • Support expansion initiatives, new campus launches, or franchise growth (if applicable)

Market Research & Strategy

  • Conduct competitor analysis and market research to identify growth opportunities

  • Recommend pricing, promotional offers, and enrolment strategies based on market trends

  • Stay updated on early childhood education trends and parent preferences

Team Leadership & Capability Building

  • Oversee, mentor, and guide the Marketing Executive to ensure effective execution of marketing initiatives

  • Set clear goals, KPIs, and performance expectations for the Marketing Executive

  • Provide regular feedback, coaching, and training to enhance skills and productivity

  • Delegate tasks appropriately and ensure timely delivery of marketing activities

  • Foster a culture of accountability, creativity, and continuous improvement within the marketing function

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Alignment
  • Work closely with the Education Head to align marketing messaging with curriculum, pedagogy, and learning outcomes

  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to ensure marketing commitments align with on-ground capacity, infrastructure, and service delivery

  • Partner with the Finance team to plan marketing budgets, track spend, and evaluate return on investment

  • Support pricing strategies, offers, and enrolment targets through data-driven insights

  • Ensure seamless coordination across departments to deliver a consistent parent experience from inquiry to enrolment

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field

  • 3–6 years of experience in marketing and/or business development

  • Experience in preschool, education, or service industry preferred

  • Strong understanding of digital marketing tools and lead-generation strategies

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills

  • Independent, self-motivated and responsible
