Job summary

A leading marine services provider in Singapore is seeking a motivated individual for a purchasing role. Responsibilities include processing vessel stores inquiries, submitting quotations, and liaising with suppliers. The ideal candidate has at least one year of purchasing experience, preferably in shipping, and should be familiar with Microsoft Office and ERP systems. This is an entry-level position welcoming fresh graduates. Working near Tuas West Road, 5.25 days a week.

Qualifications

  • At least 1-year purchasing experience, preferably in marine sector or shipping industry.
  • Diploma or related studies in business or engineering, entry-level are welcome.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office, ERP system or procurement software.
  • Good written and spoken English skills, with a forward-thinking and proactive attitude.
  • Well organized and able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Process vessels' stores and provisions enquiries using Archangel software.
  • Submit timely quotations to meet vessel schedule and urgent requests.
  • Select reliable suppliers and regularly evaluate suppliers’ performance.
  • Liaise with the other departments for delivery and collection arrangements.
  • Ensure all documentations are completed for smooth invoicing.
  • Submit a weekly report of enquiries and orders processed.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Process vessels' stores and provisions enquiries using Archangel software
  • Submit timely quotations to meet vessel schedule and urgent requests
  • Select reliable suppliers and regularly evaluate suppliers’ performance
  • Liaise with the other departments for delivery and collection arrangements
  • Ensure all documentations are completed upon job filing for smooth invoicing by Accounts
  • Submit a weekly report of enquiries and orders processed
  • Perform other tasks as may be assigned by the Manager
