Our client is a semiconductor manufacturing company located in the East of Singapore, operating in a high-precision fabrication environment. The organisation focuses on operational excellence, safety, and quality, offering stable career opportunities within a structured fab operations setting.
The Manufacturing Operator / Specialist is responsible for planning and optimising manpower and equipment within the fabrication bay to maximise efficiency, throughput, and quality. The role supports smooth wafer fabrication operations while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and process control standards.
Ensure production targets are achieved with the required efficiency and quality within stipulated timelines.
Operate, control, and monitor wafer fabrication equipment according to standard operating procedures.
Perform basic equipment checks and report any abnormalities or non-conformance immediately to the Supervisor or Bay Leader.
Execute process parameter measurements and assess whether workstations remain within control limits, taking appropriate action (including stopping operations) when required.
Maintain responsibility for equipment at the assigned workstation during each shift.
Work closely with Manufacturing Supervisors, Bay Leaders, and Process Engineers to resolve line production and quality issues.
Assist in the implementation of corrective and preventive actions to improve processing quality and manufacturing efficiency.
Support monitoring and improvement of process capabilities to reduce human error and ensure process consistency.
Ensure proper documentation and adherence to process standards at all times.
Maintain discipline and strictly comply with all Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures.
Carry out EHS-related activities as directed by supervisors as part of daily operational responsibilities.
Work collaboratively with other Technicians and Operators to meet manufacturing objectives.
Where applicable, provide guidance and support to junior Technicians or Operators on the shop floor.
1–2 years of relevant experience in Assembly/Test or back-end semiconductor processes.
Exposure to manufacturing, process development, or operations management within semiconductor, photonics, telecommunications, or similar large-scale manufacturing environments is preferred.
Ability to coordinate and work effectively with Technicians and Operators.
Systematic and disciplined in documentation and process execution.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Basic computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Excel or similar tools.
Strong sense of responsibility, teamwork, and safety awareness.
Monthly Basic Salary (commensurate with experience)
Fixed Monthly Allowances (e.g. cleanroom / transport / shift, where applicable)
AWS (13th Month Bonus)
Variable Bonus (VB) based on company and individual performance
