1. Executive Leadership & Vision
- Set the company’s strategic direction, business goals, and long-term growth plans.
- Lead the company’s overall operations including construction, finance, HR, procurement, and safety.
- Drive organisational development, innovation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
2. Project Management & Delivery
- Oversee all stages of construction projects: planning, tendering, design review, execution, monitoring, and handover.
- Review project schedules, drawings, work methods, and progress reports.
- Ensure projects meet required quality standards, budgets, and deadlines.
- Resolve high-level technical issues and provide guidance to project managers and engineers.
- Ensure site operations comply with HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards.
3. Regulatory & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with local laws, building codes (BCA), MOM regulations, Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) requirements.
- Approve all statutory submissions, permits, and documentation.
- Conduct periodic review meetings with safety officers and site teams.
4. Financial & Operational Control
- Prepare and approve annual budgets, financial forecasts, and business plans.
- Oversee cash flow management, cost control, procurement, and vendor payments.
- Review financial statements, project profitability reports, and investment plans.
- Approve major purchases, subcontractor contracts, and capital expenditures.
5. Business Development & Client Relations
- Identify new markets, expansion opportunities, and upcoming tenders.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and government agencies.
- Lead negotiations for major contracts, project bids, and partnership agreements.
- Represent the company in external meetings, events, and corporate presentations.
6. Human Resource Leadership
- Lead recruitment, training, and development of engineers, supervisors, admin staff, and project teams.
- Set performance targets, KPIs, and evaluation standards.
- Build a positive, productive, and safety-focused company culture.
- Resolve escalated employee or operational issues.
7. Operational Risk & Quality Management
- Assess and mitigate risks related to construction projects, finances, manpower, and safety.
- Implement quality assurance procedures and ensure adherence to ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 45001).
- Conduct internal audits and ensure corrective measures are taken promptly.
8. Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, M&E consultants, quantity surveyors, and subcontractors.
- Review contract terms, variations, claims, and design changes.
- Ensure smooth communication between office teams and site teams.
9. Corporate Governance
- Uphold strong governance practices, transparency, and ethical business conduct.
- Ensure accurate reporting to directors, shareholders, and regulatory authorities.
- Protect the company’s interests in legal, contract, and financial matters.
10. Strategic Growth Initiatives
- Lead expansion into new sectors: M&E, civil works, interior, maintenance, or overseas markets.
- Evaluate new technologies such as BIM, digital construction tools, and automation.
- Oversee branding, marketing, and corporate development activities.
