Job summary

A leading investment management firm in Singapore is looking for a Compliance Officer to deliver investment compliance rules using Aladdin. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of Taiwanese regulations, exceptional communication skills in traditional Chinese, and at least 8 years of experience in the financial industry. This role requires a deep understanding of asset management and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively, alongside skills in coaching and compliance.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of working experience in the Financial industry.
• Strong knowledge of the latest Taiwanese Regulations & Client Guidelines.
• Excellent interpretational skills in traditional Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Implement compliance rules in Aladdin for investment monitoring.
• Provide guideline interpretation, testing, and sign-off.
• Train staff on Aladdin and document monitoring processes.

Job description

Key Accountabilities

Delivery of accurate and effective rules within Aladdin, including in order and trade management, risk reporting, position keeping as well as pre and post trade investment compliance monitoring and reporting. This position will be responsible for delivery of compliance rules in the Singapore office as well as for other local business units.

• Guideline interpretation, translation, testing and sign-off
• Aladdin training assistance
• Pre & Post trade monitoring process & policy documentation
• Centralization on rule coding & testing for Eastspring Local Business Units
• Identification of customized data attributes i.e. specific client requirement, BB mnemonic fields, certain calculation methodology or hierarchy methodology use for rule coding
• Creation of standard security type/ investment class/industry/country/sector classification for rule coding purposes
• Standardization of rule coding for certain generic rules i.e. cash limits, concentration limits, stock/issuer/sector/currency/country bet limits etc
• Identification of opportunities for optimized rule maintenance and enhanced processes and system features
• Identification of opportunities to automate and improve efficiency of processes

Experience / Qualifications

• Strong knowledge on all the latest Taiwanese Regulations & Client Guidelines is a must
• Excellent interpretational, written & communication skills in traditional Chinese
• Degree in Legal or Business related disciplines with at least 8 years of working experience in the Financial industry
• Experience and knowledge of investment compliance monitoring especially regulatory requirements and using Aladdin
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Excellent priority management and facilitation skills, with the ability to manage different stakeholders across the Regions
• Experience and knowledge of data analytical tools would be a bonus
