About the Role

To support the Head and Deputy Head of Medical Affairs in managing medicolegal disputes and complaints, facilitating family conferences, serving as the primary point-of-contact for patients and families, and organizing educational activities on medical law, ethics, and dispute resolution.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate medicolegal disputes and complaints, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to legal and ethical standards
  • Act as primary point-of-contact for patients and families, responding to queries through face-to-face meetings, emails and phone calls
  • Facilitate family conferences with the aim of de-escalating disputes and addressing patient and family needs
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of all medicolegal cases for internal data tracking and analysis
  • Organize department meetings and record meeting minutes to ensure department goals and discussions are clear and addressed.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate management of medicolegal complaints
  • Assist the department with crafting of educational materials and organization of education activities on dispute management, medical law and ethics for staff training.
