A specialized arbitration institute in Singapore is seeking a Manager (Legal) / Senior Manager (Legal) for the SIAC Academy. This role involves developing and coordinating training programs, updating materials, and contributing to events. Candidates should have a law degree, preferably with experience in international arbitration and strong interpersonal skills. The position also requires flexibility for business travel and collaboration across various projects.
This is a unique role that draws on your experience in the law and practice of arbitration to coordinate and develop the training and education programmes of the SIAC Academy.
Develop and coordinate programming for the SIAC Academy, including liaising with proposed speakers, and external organisations including Universities and training academies
Continually update training materials and develop and write new training materials
Contribute to the planning, programming, and execution of Academy and training events and courses in Singapore and overseas
Build and maintain relationships with SIAC’s global stakeholders, including management of professional networks
Contribute to SIAC’s thought leadership and the promotion of international arbitration by preparing academic or other materials for publication and course materials for internal and external training programmes
Undertake editorial work on the Asian International Arbitration Journal
Flexibility to undertake business travel as needed
Undertake such other work as may be assigned
A Law Degree (LLB or equivalent)
Experience in international arbitration would be an advantage
Minimum of 2 years PQE in the case of a Manager Legal and 5 years PQE in the case of a Senior Manager (Legal), comprising either experience in academia, or equivalent relevant work experience
Experience with teaching, training, research would be an advantage
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to handle several ongoing projects, and to work across disciplines and undertake a wide variety of tasks
