Job description

Responsibilities

• Ensure Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) consistently meets or exceeds targeted performance levels.
• Lead the Engineering team in executing continuous improvement initiatives to achieve productivity enhancements and cost savings.
• Review and validate equipment designs and manufacturing processes to ensure full compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee facilities maintenance operations and resolve equipment-related issues to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production.
• Identify, evaluate, and implement cost-reduction opportunities to optimize operational expenses.
• Provide strategic leadership and technical guidance to Technical, Moulding, Equipment, Process Engineering teams, and Workplace Safety functions.
• Own and lead the development of in-house and automated machinery, including concept development, design, budgeting, software development, testing, commissioning, upgrades, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure environmental validation activities comply with ISO standards, FDA regulations, and other applicable regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• At least 5 years of proven experience leading complex, technology-driven engineering projects.
• Strong expertise in industrial automation is essential.
• Hands-on experience in automated machine design and PLC programming, with solid knowledge of machining processes such as CNC, conventional milling, lathe, and grinding.
• Strong understanding of risk assessment and hazard analysis methodologies in chemical and/or medical device manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of legal and safety regulations governing heavy capital equipment installation and permit-to-work systems in medical device manufacturing.
• Experience across conceptual, basic, and detailed engineering design phases, as well as project management.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with strong collaboration and people management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks for mechanical design.
• Basic working knowledge of PLC and HMI platforms is preferred.
• Experience in plants setting/factory.
