ACMV Design/Site Engineer - Job Description
- System Design: Create and optimise air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation systems, including load calculations and equipment selection.
- Site Supervision: Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of ACMV systems on-site to ensure they meet design specifications and quality standards.
- Technical Support: Provide on-site troubleshooting and technical guidance during construction, resolving any issues related to HVAC systems.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs and installations adhere to local and international codes and standards (e.g., ASHRAE, Green Mark).
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of ACMV systems into the overall building design.
- Client Communication: Interface with clients to address their needs, provide updates, and ensure satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, 3-5 years of experience in HVAC design and site supervision, proficiency in design and project management tools, and strong problem-solving skills.
ACMV Engineer Minimum Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; a diploma with extensive experience may be considered.
- Professional Accreditation: Registration with the Professional Engineers Board (PEB) Singapore; Green Mark Accredited Professional (GMAP) is advantageous.
- Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience in HVAC or ACMV design, preferably within Singapore.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in HVAC design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP); strong understanding of Singapore's SS 553, SS 530, and SS 531 standards.
- Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of local building codes, fire safety regulations, and BCA standards, including Green Mark Certification requirements.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
- Continuing Education: Commitment to Continuous Professional Development (CPD) as required by professional bodies like IES or PEB.
