Our team in Singapore currently has an opening for a Logistics Director, APAC CHK

YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
JOB FUNCTION

Logistics process owner in Asia Pacific region, to manage inbound freight, import clearance, warehousing, local logistics, and value-added services.

UNIT FUNCTION :

Lead the functional management of internal teams and external partners executing the different logistics activities. Deliver stellar performance, tracking and continuous improvement in the areas of cost, shrinkage, OTIF, customer satisfaction and safety. Be the regional SPOC (Single Point of Contact) to coordinate responses and communication in times of significant global logistics disruptions. Work collaboratively with APAC SC teams to drive operational excellence, optimization and profitable growth of our APAC business.

DUTIES
  • Develop and execute APAC Logistics Strategy
  • Develop APAC Logistics governance, framework, organization and competencies, customer‑centric culture, and KPIs at regional and country level
  • Be the champion of continuous improvement in APAC Logistics, applying best practices, standards, and leverage tools and digital technology in driving excellence
  • Be a subject matter expert in Logistics (particularly 3PL management) and business partner to stakeholders
  • Manage inbound freight, import clearance and exports, warehousing, value‑added services and local logistics
  • Accountable for contributing to cost, availability (OTIF), lead‑time and customer satisfaction targets for the region, partnering with other stakeholders to ensure process and metrics in place to improve control
  • Deliver performance metrics for the region with regards to logistics costs, shrinkage, lead times and customer satisfaction
  • Provide clear summary of high‑level risks and opportunities to Business Unit leadership for action planning
YOUR PROFILE
  • More than 15 years' hands‑on experience in regional logistics management
  • Competent SAP user
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, communications, collaborative and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement supply chain and service strategies, initiatives, and lead transformation within organization
  • Prior experience in supply chain team management with a Chemical, FMCG, or Distribution MNCs is highly-valued
  • Ability to balance long‑term strategic direction with day‑to‑day operational challenges and requirements.
  • Ability to create functional and scalable systems and processes,
  • Competency in continuously improving status quo
  • Eye for details with strong stakeholder management skills,
  • Strong analytical skills, and ability to present analyzed information concisely
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and a fast‑changing environment
  • Proven track record of strong talent management
EDUCATION LEVEL :

With university degree or above
