A leading technology company is seeking a Lead Strategic Negotiator for Clean Energy and Power in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving critical energy transactions across the Asia Pacific, structuring renewable energy agreements, and managing key stakeholder relationships. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in energy negotiation, project development, and a strong understanding of the complexities within the energy sector. Google's infrastructure needs go far beyond server computers. As Google's products and services scale the globe, the Strategic Negotiation team works behind the scenes to secure infrastructure for Google's future – everything from underwater cables to physical data center space. As a Strategic Negotiator, you combine your deep market knowledge of a given sector with tech industry savvy to negotiate cost‑effective solutions to support Google's infrastructure growth. You'll work with specific project teams on negotiating deals, managing vendor and partner relationships and presenting deal recommendations to our Tech leadership. Your successful negotiations have the potential to save Google millions of dollars in operating costs and impact every part of the business.
As a Lead Strategic Negotiator within the Clean Energy and Power team, you will drive critical energy transactions across the Asia Pacific region, directly enabling the exponential growth of Google's data center portfolio and the achievement of our carbon‑free energy goals. You will lead agreements for renewable energy Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), power connection agreements, and infrastructure partnerships. You will be involved in performing essential energy due diligence during new data center site selection. Furthermore, you will be responsible for developing comprehensive investment memos and leading agreement approval processes with executives. You will require managing relationships with key external suppliers including utilities and clean energy developers and collaborating cross‑functionally with teams like Finance, Legal, and Engineering to ensure cohesive execution and regional expansion strategy.
