Role Summary

Supervise vendors/service providers activities for daily routine electrical and maintenance work to ensure equipment is maintained in full operational status. Role will be responsible for general electrical and fire alarm management for operations and maintenance and spares. Supervise and train Engineers and Electrical Technicians on electrical and fire alarm system to improve their knowledge. Lead in Root Cause Analysis for equipment

What you will do
  • Lead team of technicians for daily routine and repair work orders as assigned.
  • Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and carry out basic repairs.
  • Supervise vendors/service providers activities for daily routine electrical and maintenance work to ensure equipment is maintained in full operational status.

  • Implement preventive maintenance programs by reviewing operations, quality control and maintenance reports and statistics, inspecting operating equipment and systems for conformance with operational standards/cGMP for electrical services.
  • Lead team of engineers and technicians for daily routine and repair work orders as assigned.

  • Ensure all routine maintenance works are duly carried out as scheduled and in compliance with Engineering standards and procedures.
  • Respond on-call for maintenance/service breakdown and support ongoing operations.
  • Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and carry out basic repairs.
  • Supervise vendors/service providers activities for daily routine electrical and maintenance work to ensure equipment is maintained in full operational status.
  • Management of electrical and fire alarm system for operations and maintenance and spares.
  • Perform regular equipment inspections to feedback on status. Supervise repairs/upgrading works to enable smooth handover and minimize disruption to production schedule.
  • Carry out electrical switching activities as authorized by LEW.
  • Apply and close work permits with Area/System Owners for vendor/service providers.
  • Maintain all site electrical in optimum condition in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) & EHS requirements. Ensure all GMP documentation related to maintenance activities is completed accurately and processed to full completion.
  • Communicate to Supervisor/Manager when encounter non-compliance issues including work delay, breakdown, missing parts etc.
  • Supervise and train Electrical Technicians on electrical and fire alarm system to improve their knowledge.
  • Lead in Root Cause Analysis for equipment breakdowns.
  • Implement preventive maintenance programs by reviewing operations, quality control and maintenance reports and statistics; inspecting operating equipment and systems for conformance with operational standards/cGMP for electrical services.
  • Carry out any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor/Manager, including but not limited to the above. What we are looking for

  • Degree/diploma in Electrical Engineering or relevant Engineering discipline.
  • Relevant work experience in FDA regulated facility in a cGMP environment, semi-conductor or petrochemical industry.
  • Must be proficient with respect to the operation and maintenance of various electrical systems.
  • Understand the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical/electronics system that supports a complex manufacturing plant.
  • Good knowledge of all applicable electrical engineering codes, standards and acceptable industry practices.
  • Knowledge of GMPs, FDA guidelines and process validation.
  • Familiar with pharmacopoeia standards.
