Job summary

A leading construction management firm is looking for an experienced Lead Construction Manager for a high-profile SgOps project in Singapore. The position entails overseeing all construction activities to ensure safe delivery while leading teams and contractors. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management and demonstrated leadership in site management, with a strong knowledge of SHE legislation and GMP compliance. This role operates on a contract basis in Tuas, with a 5-day work week.

About our client:

About the role:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Construction Manager to oversee all construction activities for a high-profile SgOps project. The role is responsible for ensuring safe, high-quality, and on-schedule delivery, leading contractors and construction teams, and ensuring compliance with SHE and GMP/cleanroom requirements. You will coordinate closely with Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, and Commissioning teams to ensure seamless execution from mobilization through Mechanical Completion (MC) and handover.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead site construction activities, coordinating contractors and managing discipline/area Construction Managers.
  • Plan and execute construction methodology, sequencing, SIMOPS, and access/logistics strategies.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce Construction Management Plan (CMP) and Construction Quality Management Plan (CQMP).
  • Oversee Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) compliance, inspections, and permit-to-work readiness.
  • Ensure construction quality through robust inspections, testing, and Construction Turnover Documentation (CTOD).
  • Manage interfaces across buildings, utilities, modular infrastructure, and OEM activities.
  • Resolve technical issues in coordination with Engineering, Procurement, and Commissioning/CQV teams.
  • Ensure adherence to cleanroom and GMP requirements throughout construction execution.
About you:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Proven leadership experience in project construction and site management.
  • Strong knowledge of Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) legislation and compliance.
  • Expertise in constructability reviews, cleanroom, and GMP-compliant execution.
  • Strong capability in managing cross-building interfaces and coordinating multiple contractors.
