Job description

The Facebook Legal team is seeking a motivated, highly organized, detail-oriented candidate with impeccable judgment to lead within our Law Enforcement Response Team for the APAC region. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a high level of professionalism, a dedicated work ethic, and exceptional partnering skills.

The position is full-time and will be based in our Singapore office.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee a team of individual contributors who process large volumes of law enforcement requests, focusing on operational efficiency and accuracy
  • Provide mentorship, guidance and support career development for members of the team while removing roadblocks and encouraging innovative solutions
  • Support time-sensitive escalations related to sensitive subject matter
  • Clearly respond to process and policy questions from law enforcement, government agencies, and internal parties, both verbally and through written communication
  • Interpret performance metrics and impact organizational change as a result
  • Working within a global leadership team, drive improvements to policies and processes within the law enforcement response team
  • Willing and able to work with sensitive issues that include child exploitation, a variety of religious and political views, violence and adult content
  • Participate in on-call emergency escalation rotation as well as after-hours and weekend duty
  • Ensure that all requests are scrutinized and handled in strict accordance with applicable law, our terms of service, and our law enforcement guidelines
Minimum Qualifications
  • 4+ years of professional experience in operations, people management, or business strategy and prioritization
  • Experience in high-volume operational environment, including resource management, ideally within the Trust & Safety domain
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple functions and tasks while managing their work time efficiently
  • Skilled in various computer systems, internet technology and software (PC, Mac, MS Office, online research, etc.)
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and available for domestic and international travel
  • Ability to present material about the team’s goals and mission to a large, mixed audience, including law enforcement
  • Able to work effectively within a co-leadership structure that allows direct reports to interact with both co-leads
  • Ability to work across regions and time zones and collaborate effectively with leadership teams globally
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of people management experience leading operational teams
  • Previous experience managing Law Enforcement Response teams
