Job summary

A leading microbiology services provider in Singapore is seeking a Microbiologist to manage testing activities related to environmental monitoring and microbiological testing. The ideal candidate should possess a degree in Microbiology or a related field with relevant experience, or a diploma with more extensive experience. Responsibilities include coordinating with laboratories, conducting tests, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Competitive salary and career growth opportunities offered.

Qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years of experience for degree holders.
  • More than 5 years of experience for diploma holders.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct all testing activities for environmental monitoring and microbiological testing.
  • Coordinate with operations and microbiological laboratory for test results.
  • Alert others in case of out-of-specification results.

Job description
Job Description
  • Perform all testing activities and result reviewing associated with environmental monitoring program and microbiological testing for Pilot Plant and Process Research Laboratory.
  • Coordinate between APP and PRL operations and Abbott Manufacturing microbiological laboratory to ensure timely turnover of testing results.
  • Develop a working knowledge of how own activities integrate with the work of the team.
  • Perform compositing of samples, as required.
  • Perform swabbing verification at APP and PRL on a regular basis.
  • Alert APP and PRL in the event of any over action limit (OAL) or out-of-specifications (OOS) timely.
  • Participate in investigations for any adverse trend in environmental monitoring program, intermediates or finished product microbiological testing failures.
Requirements
  • Degree in Microbiology or related discipline with 1 to 3 year experience. Diploma in Microbiology / Biotechnology/Food Technology or related discipline with more than 5 years experience.
  • Knowledge of food microbiology, cGMP and HACCP.
