Responsibilities
- Assist in evaluating risk and determining the terms and conditions for new and renewal Property & Casualty insurance policies.
- Review and analyze applications, policy endorsements, and other documents to assess risk.
- Support underwriting teams in assessing loss history, claims data, and other risk-related factors.
- Ensure all underwriting documentation is complete and accurate, adhering to company guidelines and compliance standards.
- Ensure evaluation of facultative reinsurance needs and coordination as necessary within company underwriting and risk control guidelines.
- Respond to inquiries from brokers, agents, and clients regarding policy details, terms, and conditions.
- Maintain and update underwriting files and databases.
- Assist in monitoring the overall portfolio performance and identify emerging risks or trends.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with industry regulations, trends, and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of underwriting support experience.
- Strong interest in insurance and risk management, preferably with some knowledge of Property & Casualty lines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
