Job summary

A leading HR advisory firm in Singapore is seeking a Gemmologist & Production Manager to utilize advanced techniques in gem identification and grading. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in the retail luxury industry, preferably in jewellery, alongside certification as a Gemmologist. This role includes client consultations on gemstone selection and advice on investments. A competitive salary range of $4500 to $7000 is offered, alongside sales commission sharing and bonuses based on performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years working experience in the retail luxury industry, preferable in a jewellery field.
• Certified Gemmologist (GIA, FGA or other relevant certification) will be added advantage.
• Willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Utilize advanced gemological instruments and techniques to accurately identify and grade gemstones, including diamonds, colored gemstones and pearls.
• Provide expert advice to clients on gemstone selection, care and investment.
• Assist in the selection of gemstone for jewelry design and creation.
• Sourcing and procurement of gemstones.
• Maintain accurate records of gemstone inventory.
• Monitor gemstone markets trends and advise on potential investments.
• Coordinate with designers and workshop on new product development.

Gemmologist & Production Manager

Working Days: 5.5 days
Working Timing: 9-6pm (Mon to Fri) and 9am to 1pm Saturday (by appointment), Sunday & PH is off.
Working Location: Orchard Road
Starting Salary: $4500 to $7000 + Sales commission sharing + AWS + bonus depends on company performance
