Job summary

A leading recruitment agency in Singapore is seeking a liaison who can fluently translate between English and Japanese. The role involves high-level responsibilities such as serving the Managing Director, arranging travel logistics, and providing real-time interpretation. Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Managing Director and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Provide verbal and written translation between English and Japanese during meetings, presentations, and business discussions.
  • Interpret instructions and communications between the Managing Director and non‑Japanese‑speaking staff or partners.
  • Translate internal and external documents, presentations, and media materials between English and Japanese.
  • Coordinate and support business meetings by providing real‑time interpretation.
  • Draft and respond to emails in English and Japanese, including communication with headquarters in Japan.
  • Arrange travel itineraries and logistics for the Managing Director and visiting delegates.
  • Handle local and overseas staff claims.
  • Perform administrative duties assigned by the Managing Director.
Requirements
  • Excellent command of English and proficiency in Japanese (JLPT N2) for liaising with Japanese‑speaking clients and stakeholders.
  • Minimum 2 years of translation or interpretation experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and productivity platforms such as SharePoint.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and able to work effectively under pressure.
  • Able to travel for business at short notice.
  • Class 3 driving licence is an added advantage.
  • Willingness to perform administrative tasks, including travel arrangements and logistical coordination.
