Job summary

A private educational institute in Singapore seeks an experienced Japanese teacher to facilitate engaging activities for children. Responsibilities include planning lessons, tracking progress, and maintaining communication with parents and staff to promote a safe and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate should have native proficiency in both Japanese and English, along with a passion for teaching and creative thinking. Prior experience with Elementary to Intermediate levels is preferred.

  • Set daily routines, offer positive guidance, and help build children’s self-esteem.
  • Deliver lessons based on the centre’s curriculum.
  • Observe and track each child’s learning progress.
  • Maintain strong communication and relationships with parents, students, and staff.
  • Ensure a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for all children.
  • Supervise, guide, and motivate Assistant Teachers and classroom helpers.
  • Follow the centre’s assigned work shift schedule.
  • Carry out other related duties when needed.
Requirements:
  • Native proficiency in both Japanese and English.
  • Prior experience teaching Japanese from Elementary to Intermediate levels is preferred.
  • Independent, creative, adaptable, and able to think innovatively.
