We are seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to provide first-line technical support to end-users. The role includes diagnosing and resolving hardware/software issues, assisting with installations, and ensuring IT-related issues are handled efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices (Windows/macOS).
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems and standard applications (MS Office, browsers, antivirus, etc.).
- Respond to IT support tickets and service requests via phone, email, or ticketing system.
- Escalate unresolved issues to L2/L3 support teams as necessary.
- Maintain an inventory of IT assets, and support onboarding/offboarding of users.
- Assist in setting up and maintaining networked devices (e.g., printers, scanners).
- Perform routine checks: patching, system updates, backups, and antivirus scans.
- Maintain documentation related to support activities and procedures.
- Support video conferencing equipment and meeting room setups.
- Perform basic network troubleshooting (IP, DNS, connectivity issues).
