Job description

Role Overview

We are looking for an Internal IT / ITSM Engineer to support and maintain internal IT systems and infrastructure. This role focuses on system operations, end-user support, vendor coordination, and continuous improvement of IT services in an enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain internal systems, servers, and IT infrastructure
• Build Windows Server environments (deployment, application setup, and handover)
• Provide Windows client provisioning and end-user support
• Maintain VMware environments (vCenter, ESXi)
• Support infrastructure tools such as backup, monitoring, antivirus, and job scheduling (Tier 2 / Tier 3)
• Handle daily user issues related to servers, networks, PCs, and user accounts
• Perform system recovery, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and improvement actions
• Ensure system configurations comply with security and audit requirements
• Coordinate with vendors on hardware/software maintenance and contract renewals
• Act as liaison between Head Office and Singapore Branch for operational matters
• Create and maintain system documentation (runbooks, inventory, access lists, configuration documents)
• Develop operation and maintenance procedures for knowledge sharing
• Propose improvements to system stability and operational efficiency

Requirements

Core Skills

• Strong experience in Windows Server build and administration
• Experience in Windows client provisioning and support
• Hands-on experience with VMware (vCenter, ESXi)
• Experience supporting infrastructure tools (backup, monitoring, antivirus, job management)
• Good understanding of Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Office)
• Basic to intermediate network knowledge (ACLs, firewall rules)
• Experience across system lifecycle (Plan, Build, Run, Optimize)
• Scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, or similar)
• Good English communication skills

Preferred

• Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM / ITIL)
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent
• Japanese language skills

Good to Have

• Experience with Power Apps and Power Automate
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
• Database experience (SQL Server or similar)
