IT Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary

The IT Maintenance Engineer is responsible for maintaining and supporting the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring system reliability, performance, and compliance with cybersecurity standards.

Responsibilities

Systems Administration

• Maintain and support SUSE Linux, Windows Server, and Nutanix HCI environments.
• Ensure system availability, fault tolerance, and overall performance.
• Perform scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Apply system and cybersecurity patches and conduct root cause analysis for technical issues.

Infrastructure & Network Management

• Manage network routing, switching, and firewall configurations.
• Monitor Nutanix cluster health, capacity, and performance, taking corrective actions as needed.
• Participate in technology refresh initiatives, including virtualization and storage upgrades.

Monitoring & Security

• Utilize Splunk for proactive log monitoring, analysis, and alerting.
• Maintain Splunk dashboards, reports, and alerts to support system observability.
• Collaborate with security teams to analyze logs and support threat detection and mitigation.

Governance & Process Compliance

• Maintain accurate configuration, asset, and change management records.
• Follow standard procedures and approved tools for all maintenance tasks.

Requirements

• Proven experience in IT infrastructure maintenance and support, with hands-on Nutanix experience required.
