  • Position: IT Business Analyst
  • Well Established Singaporean General Insurance Firm
  • Working Hours: Monday - Friday (8:30am – 5:30pm)
  • Salary (commensurate with experience): Up to $6,500 + Variable Bonus
  • Working Location: Raffles

Main Responsibilities
  • Responsible for bridging the gap between IT and the business using data analytics to assess processes, determine requirements, and deliver data driven recommendations and reports to executives and stakeholders.
  • Involves understanding the business needs, translating them into technical requirements, and working closely with IT and other departments to implement solutions that align with the company's strategic goals.
  • Requirements Gathering:
    1. Work with stakeholders to identify business needs and requirements.
    2. Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to gather information.
    3. Document and validate business, functional, and technical requirements.
  • Process Analysis:
    1. Analyze and model existing business processes.
    2. Identify areas for improvement and propose optimized solutions.
    3. Develop workflow diagrams and data models.
  • Solution Design:
    1. Collaborate with IT and other departments to design solutions.
    2. Create functional specifications and user stories.
    3. Ensure solutions meet business objectives and requirements.
  • Project Management:
    1. Assist in project planning, including timelines, resources, and budget.
    2. Monitor project progress and communicate status to stakeholders.
    3. Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely delivery.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance:
    1. Develop test plans and test cases.
    2. Conduct and coordinate testing to ensure solutions meet requirements.
    3. Identify, document, and track issues and ensure they are resolved.
  • Change Management:
    1. Assist in the development and implementation of change management strategies.
    2. Provide training and support to users.
    3. Develop user manuals and documentation.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
    1. Analyze data to identify trends and insights.
    2. Prepare and present reports to management and stakeholders.
    3. Use data to drive decision-making and business improvements.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    1. Maintain regular communication with stakeholders.
    2. Facilitate meetings and workshops.
    3. Act as a liaison between business units and IT.
Requirements
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Business Administration.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in an IT environment.
  • Proven experience in business process analysis, requirements gathering, and solution design.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, BI tools).
  • Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC).
